The well pump gave out again. My dad fixed it fairly promptly.
The water filter needed a new cartridge. I called in a request for one.
My respirator cartridges needed to be changed. I ordered new ones.
The watering system timer blew a fuse. We replaced it.
The DSL went down. I spent an hour on the phone and brought it back up.
The new cartridge for the water filter came... and was broken. I ordered another one.
One of the rats came down with a respiratory infection. I made a vet appointment.
The DSL went down again. I spent two hours on the phone to discover that it won't work for several days.
I went to use the connections at the school library, and their guest ethernet/wireless networks are all down.
The watering system blew another fuse. There's probably a short at one of the stations...
Can we stop having things break, please? Before my car breaks down and I really go completely crazy?
I say that this week was nuts, and to be fair, some of it was school -- the 18 hours of chemistry homework last weekend, for example, and two exams in two days. But most of my stress and subsequent crashiness today stems from the fact that when I'm not in class, I'm constantly putting out fires. I can't relax because every time I do, something else breaks and I have to spend my downtime fixing it.
The second water filter arrived today, and I spent an hour last night setting things up so that we can share a 56K modem connection between us. Net connectivity diminishes my stress level a lot, and not having to drink bottled water as I have been for the last two weeks will help too. The rat has been taken to the vet. I do so hope that this means things will be returning to normal...
