'Tis the season
Sep. 11th, 2005 18:07It snuck up on me, but it's that time again. Fifteen of them, and here I am totally unprepared for guests.
I redirected a line of the watering system to handle a few clumps of milkweed, and I'll try to get a few minutes later on to hose off the worst of the sticky aphid honeydew and prune a little. I hope that's enough, because I'm expecting more.
It's a pity; we had a great setup last year, and I'm afraid things aren't as good this year. Ah, well; they don't need much, and I think I'll be able to provide. We might not be able to host over thirty again, but half that is a good start. And so far, they seem happy.
