It's that time again

My birthday list is up. Please read the disclaimer...

I have to attend a wedding on August 21st, so I'm looking at the 20th for a gathering. I'm usually pretty lousy at deciding on what to do for a party, so I am most definitely open to suggestions. Movie? Barbecue? All pile into the hot tub? It can't be too expensive, but I'm up for the cost of a movie and maybe dinner. What movies are due for that weekend?

I can't do a nifty poll or anything, so you'll have to go through the effort of commenting instead of doing the clicky boxes. Oh, the angst. :)

I'd need someone else's place to do that, as my dad has the only good TV here and the family-room rug is not the softest to sprawl on...

...but I'd be happy to help someone clean (before and after) in exchange for use of their living room. :) I have all this ornamental popcorn, too, the red corn and the multicolored ones... the multicolored variety is very tasty indeed, from the few kernels I popped a while ago.

Add ice cream, and maybe root beer to do floats, and a movie run... yeah. :)

Maybe we should rent a studio suite at one of those Enterprise places...

But I guess that would defeat the purpose of trying to be cost-effective. We'll need to get together and chill sometime so we can talk about it.
