Again. Broken out into regular stuff and garden stuff, this time. I do plan to take some time this weekend for myself, finally...


Life:

• Taxes. Once I have my return ready, I get to do


• The scholarship form for Impact.


• Oof. Bills. It's that time of month again.


• Run the numbers on the experiment. That'll take a lot of time just playing with statistics and graphs.


• Chemistry. The next homework assignment and this lab (which is due by 5 today, not gonna happen). I still get half-credit for late labs, so that's something... and I believe homework is worth at least as much as labs, maybe more.


• Study for the next bio midterm -- that's Thursday.

Gardening

• Pick peas and check on things; the wind has overturned a few pots.


• Test my seedling mix. Something is very wrong; those seeds that do manage to sprout are feeble things... I'm starting to suspect bad pH. Time to break out the kit, before I have to plant the rare tomatoes.


• Email Bruce. At least I know another local heirloom-tomato nut -- I need to beg him for some extras to fill out the plot this year, given how dismally my seedlings are doing.


• More weeding in the garden. I'm hoping to get that last third done, leaving only the edges.


• Plant more seeds. I have to get those peppers sown.


• Find another light for the light rack

Not yet on the short list:

• Put together a class schedule for Fall. Registration begins April 24.


• Fill out my timesheet for Master Gardeners.


• Bread. I want something other than the dense sour rye. I ran out of that, now, and have been living on ry-krisp. Want soft bread...


• Start poking various sanitary and water districts about possible summer jobs; it'll be a matter of checking websites over the weekend, and calling once we get into the week.

  • Mountain View Sanitary District (that's in Martinez... wtf?)
  • EBRPD? not sure how much the Park District is doing, but why not
  • BAAQMD, aka the Air District
  • Vector Control (Mosquito abatement)
  • Antioch water district
  • Martinez water treatment plant, just to double check...


• Write a good chunk of my paper. I'm going to have to do this when I can break and do other things, as it'll drive me crazy otherwise...


• Transplant the rhubarb before the heat hits. Heck, that goes for the bonsai material too.


• Check on Little Tree and rewire it.


• Redo the watering system for the pot farm. :) I have too many pots, not enough emitters, and some of the roses need two.

These things are roughly in order of importance now... I really need some downtime, so the short-list isn't going to vanish even by the end of the weekend. This is life.

I need socks. Is anyone planning a trip to Target in the next few days? It takes some effort for me to go in there (constant mask usage), so if somebody is planning to go soon, it might be easier to have them pick up a couple packs of my socks and get paid back.

And yes, it needs to be Target (don't tell me if you're going to Walmart -- I like to keep respect for my friends). I like Target's selection and corporate policies, I just hate their choice of cleaning products.
