Who heals the Doctor?

torquillIt's always interesting to me to see which incarnation of the Doctor pops up in my dreams.
This time I was walking in a crosswalk, turned right at the crosswalk, and found a man in front of me, waiting. It was unmistakably Colin Baker, but what came out of my mouth was "Well, hello, Doctor." He was soberly dressed (for Sixth) in a white shirt and dark trousers, with a bow tie, I think. He had been waiting for me, and said as much; he knew I would come through there, since I always stopped at that intersection.
I stepped to the side, leaned against the mossy stone wall, put an arm companionably around his waist, and asked what was going on. He said that he didn't know what to do -- she said she wants to get *married* to a fellow she met, and there was something about canvas, and at that point he was distressed enough that coherence went out the window.
I thought about his current companion (someone unfamiliar to waking me), and asked whether the fellow's name was Canvas, or whether she wanted to be married *under* canvas...? He just shook his head. I'm not sure even he had it straight, he just knew she was leaving.
I hugged him, and he seemed to take some comfort from that. I remember he was very tall, and my nose was around the second button on his shirt front -- which is about right, Colin is a surprisingly large guy, and he stood quite upright in his prime. I hunted for what to say, and couldn't come up with much. I knew how much he hated when companions left, this Doctor in particular; he always preferred to be the one to leave, and Sixth tended to get especially attached. But he had sought me out, and I did what I could to help. Mostly we held each other, and exchanged a few words.
Sometimes the Doctor shows up to help, sometimes he is in trouble but gets through all right. I think this was the first time I helped him.
