now that that's over...
Mar. 1st, 2005 12:15After all the fuss, I wouldn't say the bio exam was a letdown, but it was a little bit anticlimactic.
He threw a couple of curve balls, which I think I managed to dodge for the most part. The rest was pretty standard. It did have Jerry written all over it -- missing questions 14 and 22 (the latter was on the scantron portion, and I'm sure it tripped someone up)... Section A in the written part had seven topics, and the instructions said clearly, "Choose any four topics to explain in detail [...] Answer only three. (5 points X 3 = 15 points)". Kathy looked at that, sighed, told us to answer four just in case, then recanted and set it to three. I had already done four, so Jerry gets to decide which of those he wants.
Most of the multiple choice questions I knew right off, which tells me I knew the rest of the material well enough to garner an objective B. Based on what I've seen now, Jerry will probably curve -- if not now, then for the final score... and that should make this an A. I think. *shrug* I did better than a C, which is all I care about.
Most of all, it's over. I messed with pea sprouts with the rest of my group, drove back to Concord, hit the farmer's market for oranges and artichokes, then treated myself to a bag of fresh hot fries from the Hotdog Palace (think In&Out style). It was a lovely morning, with just enough haze to make the day star bearable without making it less warm, and I had my car back so I could get grease on the gearshift while munching my way home. :)
Now to relax with a bit of chem (ha) and contemplate how I'm spending the rest of the week.
