Battlebots update

torquillThe main Battlebots site places the next competition on April 20-26, 2009. Location is "Northern California", quite possibly at Mare Island, and I would say almost certainly in the Bay Area.
They'll have back to back Professional (heavyweight class), College (middleweight class), and High School (middleweight class) competitions. They're also trying a new "innovative class" with no weight divisions and no rules; fighting in that class is optional.
They'll tape the event, but almost all the other details are up in the air. At least they seem to be actively pushing forward. This should be fun. :)

Date: 2008-11-10 23:27 (UTC)The last thing I saw, they were aiming for this week in Vallejo. But that was in March so obviously things moved around since then. I'm really hoping they get things going again. Seeing it in person was awesome. Although I doubt I'll be able to see the whole week this time considering school. Hopefully I'll be able to go see some of it.
I wonder if they're still going to be on ESPN, or if that deal fell through.
