I feel fine and I feel good
Apr. 17th, 2007 08:28Despite having to cram for an exam this morning because my life has been too busy for real studying, despite the tempest of the last few daysweeks, despite my anxiety about all and sundry... I still stopped on the train platform to look up, then snap a couple of twigs off the trees there, because it was such a beautifully textbook example of fireblight* on flowering pear...
I sometimes think that geekery is not limited by subject; it's rather a state of mind. I'm not a gamer geek or a plant geek or a computer geek or a chem geek... I'm a geek. And I know a lot of other people who could say the same.
The DSL was down this morning. I punted the router before I left, but that didn't fix it... I get to look forward to coming home to diagnose it while my dad taps his foot because he hasn't been able to get his mail all day. Sigh.
This week would be made a lot better by some capacity for restful sleep. I haven't dropped any chainsaws yet, though...
* Erwinia amylovora, which is included in this morning's exam.
