Anti-angst

The low-stress streak continues.
Last night I took apart my stereo face, removed the bits one by one, and cleaned all the buttons with alcohol to get residual corn-syrup off of them (there was a soda in the holder when my car crashed, and it got sticky enough after two months that the buttons froze up). The design was straightforward, I didn't break anything, I didn't lose anything, and now it works like new.
I re-braided my hair this morning, which is probably the first time ever I've redone it after less than a month. It was easy to undo, and while I struggled with the part again (it's been this way for 15 years, why is it so difficult lately?) it didn't take more than two tries to get the bead to stay. That's gotta be a record.
I started up streamripper for the first time since switching to Ubuntu, and it started ripping without hassle. That was unexpected.
I have also put the straps in for my subwoofer, using smaller screws in the process as I've meant to do for ages, helped Nick with an easy oil change for his car, tidied my own car, and found all the odds and ends I needed at Smart and Final (even things I didn't expect to find there). Things just seem to "work" right now with a minimum of fuss, which is rare. I'm enjoying it greatly.
I'm currently listening to the AfterhoursDJs stream I'm ripping, and systematically working through the xkcd archive. I keep trying to think of other things I need to do, and not coming up with much. Oh, wait, I should make brownies...
*contented sigh*
