It occurred to me as I was getting on the train that I have my Birks on. Not exactly the closed-toe shoes that Plant Path lab requires, nor my choice for bicycling footwear... oh well.
I'm doing better today. My lungs still hurt a bit, but all the rest cleared up during the night. I also have a surprising amount of stamina left, more than enough for an average day.
I was solving some of the biochem quiz questions on the train ride up. They're actually kind of fun, for some slightly twisted definition of "fun". But then, I like puzzles. It's looking like most of these won't take any more than a bit of time and brainpower.
When a school day is "calm" in comparison to my weekend, something is seriously wacky. Still, if I manage to get through Thursday, turn in my quiz, and not screw up any of my other obligations too horribly, maybe I can relax and start sleeping well again.
On the plus side, my stereo is noticeably different. It needs tuning -- I suspect a little of the weakness in the lower ranges is because the subwoofer isn't fully up against the back seat -- but there's much of the solidity to the music that I've been missing. I'll tweak it a bit on Friday.
