Frontline tonight is doing a series called "Media War", about why investigative journalism is becoming extinct. The paper said it was the first of four parts, the Tivo menu says "1 of 2"; the paper also said that the third and fourth parts hadn't been through final editing, though, so it may be that they're airing the first and second and will do the third and fourth a bit later.

It's a subject near and dear to my heart, and to Nick's as well... I thought I should mention it for whoever's currently reading my journal. There are cures for the affliction that grips modern journalism, and I trust Frontline to find them.

Parking has become very scarce at the Martinez train station. I don't know why (there was plenty around the holidays) but it's rather frustrating. At least I didn't have to go more than a block away this time.

It never ceases to fascinate me that Bt made a track based on the Fibonacci sequence. I mean, music is mathematics, but rarely so directly. Much about it speaks of the endless dance of numbers going on all the time, even below the reasoned voice reciting the first eight Fibonacci numbers. Like any Bt, it's lacking some depth without my full car stereo, but there's still enough interest to keep me listening to it.

I knocked myself out on Sunday, and I haven't quite recovered yet. Gotta take it easy physically and mentally for a bit... I had hoped to get a few things done on Wednesday night, but I may end up going to bed early instead.

Not much else going on -- I read on the train instead of making flash cards, and while I should be making them now I'm not really feeling like I can concentrate well. Yay fatigue. I'll just spend the time hoping that the 10% chance of rain doesn't get me wet today.
