No rest for the weary
Feb. 1st, 2007 12:37The clock is running. I can't pay any attention to it yet.
Even so, the plant physio midterm doesn't look exceedingly scary, especially since we can use books, notes, and online resources. It should be possible to finish it tonight. I'll have a closer look at it on the train.
I need to spend the rest of my lunch hour studying biochem... but I wanted to make sure I know when the App of Comp midterm is.
The good news: it's not today, it's next Tuesday.
The bad news: it's right on top of my first-pass registration appointment.
I really, really need to find out how long first-pass appointments are good for. I can't afford to be late for the midterm... but I could be late for biochem. I can only hope that an hour's delay in registering doesn't cost me a workable schedule.
What all this means is that when I hand in the plant physio midterm tomorrow, I have to launch right into scheduling insanity, and scramble on Tuesday. This is going to be nucking futs.
Edit: The first-pass appointment is two hours long. I'll see whether I want to be late to biochem lecture so that I can at least get a foothold... If I miss that, I can log in again at 8pm that day and register. A small blessing is that I'm told I have an early pass time again this quarter -- the upperclassman I talked to said hers wasn't until Friday. So I have hope.
None of this will help me get into the 6-hour lab, but I'm pretty well convinced that I won't get into that without divine intervention... Microbio majors get first crack, and there are so many of them that there's a waitlist by the end of first pass; I don't get to even try until second pass. I need to talk to my advisor and see what on earth I can do about that, as I need that class.
