This and that
Jan. 16th, 2007 13:53I'm debating the pros and cons of panniers vs. a handlebar basket. I already have a luggage rack.
Knowing me I'll get both. *sigh* I need to talk to the Bike Church about a new(ish) drink holder, too, as mine's falling apart.
I managed to squeeze into a discussion section today, so I won't have to come up at all tomorrow. See, the University does this weird thing: there are an awful lot of Monday holidays, so once a year they declare a Wednesday in January to be an "academic Monday". All the Monday classes meet, and the Wednesday people get to miss out for once.
One of my classes (App of Ag lab) has no way to shift, so we're not meeting at all this week. However, my Plant Physio class is still holding discussion sections... so those of us with Wednesday sections were allowed to go to any other section. I found one during my lunch hour, and even though I had to shoehorn into the last seat -- the place was basically a closet, with a dozen students packed in -- I did get marked as present.
So tomorrow I'll do some App of Ag homework and read up on physio, as it would be very easy to fall behind.
Oh, and I guess it had to happen sometime: Harada asked me to refrain from knitting in class. I apologized and asked him if it would be all right if I sat way back, and he said no, it would still be distracting. So that's that. If I didn't respect him, I'd sit in the upper back corner, way above his head, and try to sneak it... as it is, I get to come up with something else to focus on. Maybe I can bring in a sketchpad and photos, start brushing up on my duplication skills... at least that would register to him as "taking notes" at a casual glance. And I need the practice.
