I hope my next prof is better
Nov. 20th, 2006 13:02The good news is that I am now have all the info everyone else in the class has on what's on the biochem midterm.
The bad news is, nobody knows much. There was no review session last Thursday. There was no handy cheat sheet handed out by the TA. The prof didn't even do an overview on Tuesday of what she expected us to know.
The TA says we need to memorize the kinetics and enzyme equations -- there's something like fifteen or sixteen total, most with similar terms in different configurations. It'll be mostly multiple-choice with three or so big problems. We have problem sets for half the material, but nothing at all for enzymes, which is (in my opinion) the harder of the two. I know a great deal less about that than I know about general kinetics, as well.
I am not going to do well on this at all. And there's not a lot I can do about that.
I came out to Davis today, despite being exhausted, and didn't glean much for my trouble. Now I get to go back home and systematically go through the problem sets I have, and see whether the book has any useful problems. And memorize these fucking equations. What the hell is wrong with handing out an equation sheet, anyway?
Grumble.
