Well, that's over with
Oct. 19th, 2006 09:37I over-studied for that exam. Blew through 80 points in a half-hour and was the first person out the door.
While it's nice to do that once in a while, I don't like the stress of not knowing whether the teacher is sadistic enough to throw a curve ball and thus having to study every detail. I'll try not to relax too much in future, but I'll keep in mind that Canington's questions are manageable with a realistic grasp of the material.
I do suspect my biochem teacher is that sadistic -- I can understand wanting us to memorize the structures of the amino acids, but memorizing the names and actions of the various protein-decoding methods seems excessive. She says no notes, though. Sigh.
Now that I'm done with the latest Plant Anatomy crisis, I'll start right in on flash cards and book problems for biochem... we don't have an exam until Halloween, which gives me a couple weeks. Assuming life cooperates. As time goes on, I have a better feel for the pace of these classes, which (so far) is diminishing my stress rather than increasing it.
I don't have to be at Plant Prop lecture until 11. I've visited my locker already (though I may go drop off my hoodie and gloves, it's warming up). Wonder what I should do for the next hour. Relax...
