I upgraded some packages on my FC4 system, and it managed to break the ndiswrapper setup for my wireless card.

I compiled the newest stable version (1.23) on a suggestion, redownloaded the relevant driver package, used ndiswrapper -i to put it in, and installed the ndiswrapper module. ndiswrapper -l tells me everything's fine, but ifup wlan0 says ndiswrapper device wlan0 isn't installed, and iwconfig can't see wlan0 at all.

I noted that the kernel drivers (ieee80211 and family) were all loaded, so I unloaded them, eliminating the mysterious eth1 that was showing up on iwconfig, but it doesn't seem to have helped with recognition of ndiswrapper or wlan0. Everything seems okay, all the way down to the ifcfg-wlan0 file, except when I try to start it up. Oh, and I did check /etc/modprobe.conf (aka modules.conf), and my aliases are all still valid.

I'm getting this nasty feeling that it has to do with the 4K-stack kernel, and I'll have to recompile with CONFIG-4KSTACKS disabled, but I dislike having to rebuild kernels unless absolutely necessary. Ideas?
