torquillCameron and Wilson seem so similar sometimes, in that they care about people... but they really aren't all that alike in some ways.
Cameron holds herself, and everyone else, to an extremely high and rigid standard of conduct; she loves people because she can see the potential in them, if only they would straighten up and live up to her (likely impossible) standards. If they fall down, they can redeem themselves only by correcting their mistake and making sure that they never, ever make another one.
Wilson knows that people are extremely fallible and do make mistakes, and has learned it by personal experience; he loves people almost because of that, because he's made enough mistakes himself that he can't help but see things from their side, and forgive them, and care about what they're going through.
It makes Wilson is the more honest of the two, really. Cameron won't lie to a patient; Wilson won't lie to himself. And should Cameron ever fall off her own high horse, she'd shatter.
It might be up to someone like Wilson to pick up the pieces, and forgive her when she couldn't forgive herself.
