Ah. In lily, the "blurb" is a small bit of text appended just after your user name whenever your name shows up. So the lilyfolk see things like the following:

*** Torquill [this is my blurb] has reattached ***
Torquill [this is my blurb] to -rant: Stupid gits.
(I type "/away Ogdru Jahad")
*** Torquill [Ogdru Jahad] is now away ***

Perhaps that clears things up a little. :)
