Hacking through the outback
Jul. 19th, 2015 12:50The nausea seems to be easing. I would say the cramps are too, except I think I'm just used to them.
I decided to delay taking my BCP today until evening, on the principle that the stuff I'm leaving behind is 1.5X the strength of the stuff I will be taking, and thus 36 hours should be about the right interval after the last hi-test dose. I really hope the lower dose is low enough; otherwise I may start doing more 36 hour intervals and other weird stuff.
Not looking forward to coming off them, not at all. On the plus side, I don't have anything vital scheduled after this Thursday. On the minus side, I may not get much of a pause between "to queasy/crampy to work" and "too woozy from blood loss to work", and I'd really wanted to bring my monthly total up just a little more.
I have to keep in mind that there's only a finite amount of tissue to slough off, so the bleeding should also be finite. Especially if I start with my efforts to block estrogen production at the same time, so it has no chance to build back up again during the bleeding period (I think that may have been happening before). One great big horrible flush, and with any luck, my uterine lining will be thin or nonexistent from then on. If the aromatase blockers work.
I really can't wait until I can run all this by my gyno on Thursday. I expect her to have no idea where to go, so I'll ask her to check my plans for sanity... but I do want that second opinion before I plunge ahead. Well, that and a test paper. (Must remember to get tests before proceeding with the aromatase blockers...)
I can't wait to get the hell out of this maze.
