Things I really should learn to ignore:

* Young Earth Creationist physics/astronomy. I know too much physics to miss the gaping logical holes, and they hurt my brain. Yet I keep looking at the "explanations". Oh, the stupidity...

* The BMI. I can't shake the fierce urge to construct a real fitness program, lose all of my excess weight, then go and take a water-tank test to prove to the medical idiots that it really doesn't apply to everyone. It's impractical for several reasons (most notably that I just had a detox reaction after losing four pounds in a fortnight; my fat does not leave gently), and it's petty, and I really should just tune it out. Yet I keep picking at the scab by reading things like Dr. Donohue's assertion that a BMI over 40 (and a waist measurement over 35 for women) means you're obese and facing serious health risks. Fuck you, Phil.

* People who worked at a job while doing college full-time. Their condescension toward those who get a "free ride" from financial aid still bugs me, even with a disability voucher I can wave in their face. Of course, Chronic Fatigue Syndrome is imaginary anyway -- I look fine, so I should be able to pull my own weight and get a job. Argh...

I guess I'm just thin-skinned today.

Just an.. idle thought, if you are storing so much bad stuff in your fat that it causes major detox, then maybe it would be beneficial to get rid of some of those toxins anyways? I know the detox reaction sucks ass, and you're probably not at a place where being knocked on your butt is a reasonable thing to try what with how busy you keep yourself with school and everything. Was just a thought.
