torquill: Tea cures all ills (tea)

Bahahaha! Kids First! (SFW)

I don't have to go to school today (I hesitate to call it a "day off"; I don't get days off). I'mm warming up right now, before diving into the list of stuff that I could do at home. Most of it I don't mind doing, which is nice. I really should do my Russian homework tonight, but otherwise the day is pretty much mine.

Unfortunately, that's less pleasant than it might be, as not only my throat but my bronchi feel like someone's taken a scouring pad to them. I'm making every effort not to cough, not to talk much, and otherwise pamper my airways. It could be my (suspected) resident virus that keeps giving me tonsillitis, but my tonsils aren't involved this time. It honestly feels like the one time I inhaled some diatomaceous earth (a.k.a. ground glass dust), but I haven't been around anything like that lately. Nasty.

Still... the weather is relatively fair, if chilly, and I had a couple of ideas for where and how to plant peas without much effort. I think the earth is still too soggy to dig, but I can plant peas without disturbing it, and I might get lucky and find it's dried out more than I thought. The sweet peas will need a trellis, even if I can't plant them until the dirt from the allium bed is out of the way again. (sigh.) So I can work on that.

The significance of the holiday doesn't escape me, but there's little I can do other than well-wishing. It's rather depressing to think about the current situation without having any recourse. Still... to the one two veterans on my friends list: this day's for you.
