I took my final today. This means that I don't have classes until September 27th. It's an odd feeling.

What are you up to with the birks? I ask because there is a fantastic shoe store in downtown Sac that does repairs and sells them, and they have been really good to me (There was a pair of shoes that I bought from them that the footbed kept coming apart, and they replaced them and it happened again. So he glued it one last time, and credited the price of the original pair to my account at the store. 5 years later, I walk in and they happen to check my customer information, and I had an $80 credit that I had completely forgotten about. I say that I think that it is a mistake, and the clerk grabs the owner, who remembers me, and remembers what the credit was for, and insists. Since the final glue fix had worked, I'd felt it was resolved to my satistfaction, so this was really, really gravy. Thus, a customer for life. They also have brought shoes I have taken in for repair out to my car so I didn't have to pull a sleeping Kaia out of the car)

I just need to put the cork seal on them... I should check the sole wear, too.

I actually have a fantastic shoe guy across from Concord BART, who charges me barely anything ($6 for a tune-up, $30 for full soles) and knows his stuff. :)
