I use Google Calendar. In fact, I have more than one calendar on my account, since they have encouraged such things. One of those calendars is for social functions in particular.
When
knaveofhearts wanted to invite me to something, it showed up on my "catch-all" calendar, not the social one. There must be a way to invite me so that it shows up on the right calendar. Right? All it takes is the right email address to add to the guest list. So what is it?
What he found in the FAQ:
To find your resource calendar's email address, please follow these steps:
1. Under "Calendars" in the left column, click on the down-arrow next to the appropriate calendar, then select "Calendar settings."
2. In the "Calendar Address" section, click on the "XML" icon. A pop-up window with your calendar's URL will appear.
3. Copy this URL to a separate document.
4. Highlight the text in between "http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/" and "/public/basic" and cut and paste it separately in the document.
5. Replace "%40" with "@"
6. Your calendar's email address is now ready to be shared with others.
For example, if a calendar's URL is http://www.google.com/calendar/feeds/v7rthcehtkcv7juiwv34chpq7%40group.calendar.google.com/public/basic, the calendar's email address is v7rthcehtkcv7juiwv34chpq7@group.calendar.google.com
...
yeah. Not so elegant, that.
Not to mention it doesn't seem to work. Nor do any of the suggested methods found in the help section. Bug report time.
