Sporks sort of count
Apr. 19th, 2007 08:35Running low on spoons. Not out, just seeing the bottom of the drawer today.
Still, making
hopeforyou's week was worth missing an hour or two of sleep over... I've never seen someone get so orgasmic over a linux install. ;)
Besides, this is the level of health I've always expected from myself. I've been sleep-deprived for weeks, dealing with all sorts of hormones and emotional spikes and even a bit of school stress, I've missed meals and driven myself pretty hard physically. I got six hours of sleep and I'm feeling kind of tired and heavy today, definitely worn out -- but still able to think reasonably well, and able to bike across campus. I'm going to take it as easy as I can today, but I'm amazed I'm not in bed with a fever and the sense that someone's been beating me with a cane all night.
I feel average, and that's wonderful.
Installing my car stereo was the best thing I've done for myself in a very, very long time. It seems like such a minor thing, but I'm still marveling at how much of a difference there is in my peace of mind between February and now. It's a major component of why, even though I'm exhausted, I'm low on stress and feeling really pretty good. Well, that and the fact that life is going quite well in general at the moment.
I got to my locker this morning, opened it, and pulled out the plant I picked yesterday to bring into class because wow, I've never seen a mallow plant with a virus before. I'm a geek. :) At least it didn't wilt overnight.
