I guess that's it
Mar. 20th, 2007 09:25I'm not in tears, so it's not as bad as it could have been.
I'm pretty sure I passed, which is all I needed. It was harder than I expected, harder than the exam from last quarter I was studying with. I did leave one question (8 points) essentially blank -- but it was an alternate synthesis question. "Compound Z is usually made from compound X. If it's made from compound Y instead, which you'll have to take my word can be done, figure out what intermediate steps it would take." Riiiight. I'm not sure I could get that on an open-book exam, let alone without even a notecard. I'd be very surprised if much of anyone got it.
I wish the teacher and graders luck with the resulting Test-henge. Lots of paper.
It hasn't struck me yet that I'm done. I may hang around long enough to put the new grips on my handlebars, then lock up my bike in an out-of-the-way spot since it's not worth taking it home for the week.
Yeah. still kind of in shock.
