I found cloth for the bicycle seat: an upholstery shop cut me a square of sparkly silver vinyl, for free no less. Now I just need to figure out when I can go over to [livejournal.com profile] semy_of_pearls' to tailor it to fit (I'm really not sure my sewing machine is quite up to more than one layer of that). It'll look neat when we're done, though.

The power lock on my car that doesn't respond isn't due to a dead solenoid... which means that it's not a problem with the easily-replaceable part. It's a wiring fault somewhere. Time to get a wiring diagram. *sigh*

My copy of the Seed Savers Exchange Yearbook came, looking like a good-sized White Pages. First thing I did was to crack it open and page to "Tomatoes - Yellow/Orange". Sure enough, the first listing for Wisconsin 55 Gold was from "CA ST A" - that translates to "CAlifornia, STewart, Alison". I made the deadline! and the other two people (I recognized Martin's "WI LO M" in there) who listed Wisconsin 55 Gold mentioned me as a source. I've introduced a new tomato variety!

I'm also the only person offering White Egyptian Zucchini, which makes me very glad I thought to list it. I haven't had a chance to grow out last year's seed to test purity yet, but I don't want this variety to die out.

Well, you should come up next week anyway, if you want to borrow clothes for the Gaskells next weekend. :)

I'll be sure to drag the old steam engine out of the closet to sew the vinyl.
