Green thumb update

At least two of the four tomatoes have set: Dwarf Champion, which had fruit on it when it was planted and seems to have set more, and Vorlon. The latter tends to abort a lot of very small fruit, but I have a few that are about the size of a quarter which should mature just fine. It's still one of my earliest and most prolific full-size tomatoes, and one of the best tasting.

I'm waiting on Heidi and German Red Strawberry, both of which are going nuts. I also clipped three shoots of Vorlon and plunked them deep in the last vacant spot, then dumped a gallon of water laced with Superthrive on them. Worst case, none of them make it and I haven't lost anything; best case, I have at least one more Vorlon. Quick and dirty cloning.

The pepper is about to bloom, and one of the okra has taken off at about a leaf a day. Oh, and I have squash in both hills, so that means both Costata Romanesca and Yellow Crookneck. This is the way gardening is supposed to work.

I expect ripe tomatoes by the end of September. Better late than never!
