Trying to coast
Oct. 24th, 2006 10:37Still feeling a little rattled over the scheduling stuff... I coasted over to the BioSci building and picked up the peer advisor's hours. Looks like I'll have to come up tomorrow morning to deal with that, and I guess that'll give me a chance to talk to Cowell Student Health Center too.
I brought my CD player today, with the new headphones. The sound quality is better, definitely... I'm finding the earplug effect to be a little unnerving in everyday use, though I rely on sight more than sound when bicycling anyway. The music is helping me to stay relaxed and focused, which I need after a restless six-hour night. (Hurray for Sasha and John Digweed.)
The front valve stem on my bike leaked air down to 25 psi over the weekend, and loosened up totally when I was filling it. All it took was a quick tweak with my new stem tool... I'd forgotten that stems can come loose after several tests/fills, and it wasn't too tight to start with, but that's one more reason to carry the tool.
I still need to adjust my idler so that the gears shift as they ought. Maybe I can do that tomorrow as well.
Next week is going to be hellish. I'm trying to go over flashcards in the spare moments before each class, and I think it's helping. I'm going to be short on study time this weekend, though, and possibly short on sleep. It'll be Friday class and
mikz, Saturday wedding rehearsal and possibly Gaskells, Sunday wedding, Monday 6am reg, Tuesday biochem midterm, Wednesday Dr. J, Thursday plant prop midterm, and Friday class... then I fall down.

Worked quite well, as I recall.
