My ochem final was a bad dream. I take more than a little solace in the knowledge that I will never see my copy of the exam again. Grades are not an issue.

I don't seem to have bruised the tissues between my fourth and fifth metacarpals... I'll know for sure tomorrow, but my right hand just seems a little bit stiff and creaky. I hate having a bruise there.

Much of the first part of the day seemed designed to make me scream, throw things, and curl up into a little weepy ball. Two incorrect passwords (one of which was not my fault), running back and forth to deal with transcript requests, inconvenient roadwork... the only bright point was when the girl at Peet's pulled two extra bags of grounds out of the trash bin for me, so I hauled home about a hundred pounds rather than thirty-five or so.

Peet's chai pales in comparison to Panama Bay's. Lowfat milk, tastes mostly of cloves, and has a significant amount of astringent-metallic tannins. Not impressed.

I went into the College Park offices today to request a high-school transcript (Davis digs deep). I have vague memories of having seen the Student Activities office many times before, but a lot of that old room was unfamiliar. I have so little in common with the me that went there that it really did happen a long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, to a totally different person. I can't relate to myself at that time, which gives no anchor to the memories anymore.

The trip to San Jose went pretty smoothly, minus some slow traffic from accidents and countercommute. Gwen seemed content to run with free rein, so I just let her pick the pace. She was a little sluggish on the way back up; I'll check tire pressure and oil before I head down again tomorrow, but she may just want a wash. I don't have time to do one, but maybe a swipe with a damp towel will suffice.

My sewing project is done; I'll wear it tomorrow. Yay!

I baked bread, too, and made the toffee for the ochem party. Two more things done. I need to do a little shopping before Baycon, but I mostly need to pack and pull together. Got my badge.

Let's do this thing.

You're going to Baycon? I'm going to be there briefly for a private party and then probably stick around for Bonny Knees before heading back to KublaCon. Wave if you see me!

I'll be in a longish black lace skirt, a deep purple tank suitable for clubbing, and a very warm, fuzzy, deep purple, crocheted stole.

Yeah, black and purple at a con. That'll narrow it down. ;)

Er, that's tonight that I'll be there.
