Ups and downs

So yesterday was a good-bad kind of day. Lots of amplitude.
Good stuff:
- I got to hang out with Dr. J while pruning some of his trees, and we sat around chatting for a few minutes on his porch afterward.
- He gave me a sizable tip, in addition to a bunch of lovely Meyer lemons. I gave him tomatoes and a cucumber.
- I splurged and got steak on my Chipotle lunch.
- I had no trouble getting to the Berkeley Marina afterward, despite rush hour.
- I returned M's tent to him, picked up my EL wire (I gotta remember to reimburse Akien for that), dropped off more tomatoes, and set up some fertilizer for the passionfruit in Cherryland.
- I got to catch up with M for the first time in many months. That was quite nice.
- I found that my favorite restaurant is indeed still there, even though I hadn't been there more than twice in about seven years. Still tasty, too.
- I got a bunch of Pokemon Go in, and caught a few rare things.
- I stopped by the Bash (bathroom break) and spotted several familiar people. I'll be back for more tomorrow.
- My theory has held up: when I have low/no estrogen in my system, I can cope with mycotoxin exposures much better. I still have hope that those systems will be able to recover in a moderate amount of time. I might even be able to tolerate alcohol again soon.
Bad stuff:
- I got whammied, moderately, by loading M's tent into the trunk of the car.
- I ended up spending about $25 on food for the day, which is usually about half of a week's groceries.
- I walked too much without fixing my left foot, and it's very pissed off right now.
- I had to leave Cherryland rather than stay for dinner, as M's clothes were causing me to react.
- In fact, as all of his belongings are contaminated by the moldy boat he was living on for half a year, I will no longer be able to spend time at the house on Friday nights. This is officially the end of the period spanning nearly two years where I considered the place a second home.
- I probably won't get to see Akien or L much at all for quite a while.
- Combined with a couple of other developments, my social life is effectively dead.
Not sure how to categorize it:
- The LARP I had wanted to play in, which was inaccessible to me due to cleaning products (I was very unhappy about that) was cancelled due to other factors. It doesn't make me happy that no one else gets to enjoy it either, but I don't have the sense that I'm sitting at home while other people get to play.
I'm taking it easy today, though I need to run a few errands.
