No pain, no gain
Oct. 2nd, 2014 00:16It's only after a long break that I realize how much strength one needs in the left pinky to play cello properly. And how much of a difference even small calluses make. And how tight the rotator cuff on my left wrist usually is. And, these days, how much healing I still have to do on the tendons running across the back of my right wrist...
It's okay; the cello itself has been out of tune long enough that I'm having to do gross tuning every few days, rather than just using the fine adjustments. We're both out of practice.
