I woke up and it was the first day of summer vacation.
I got a lot done today, actually... most of it garden stuff, though I did take care of one of the million forms UC Davis wants (as it was due on June 1) and went to check out the place I'm doing the election. I just remembered I was supposed to call my clerks tonight, too. Oops. Tomorrow.
Baycon happened. The whole weekend was kind of like a routine class quiz -- I'm glad that I did it, but it wasn't particularly pleasant. It's off my radar now.
I was gone for four days and none of the plants died; I had a bit of watering to do today, but nothing nasty happened. Green fruit on some of the tomatoes, the melons and squash are coming up, and the beans are vining. The corn wanted water (what a shocker). I'll look into getting the watering system set up soon.
My mom wants to watch my season 1 and 2 CSI DVDs. Amusing.
Oh, and *scream*. Holy fucking shit. I finally got to the season finale of CSI, and now I know why everybody was jumping up and down and biting their fists. Now I'm doing it.
I may have a lead on a part-time summer job where I help to renovate someone's yard after they neglected it for a year or two due to health problems. I have a strong suspicion that those problems are similar to mine. We'll see... but it's a decent wage and what looks like a good number of hours. I hope it works out.
I have a lot of tidying and cleaning up of loose ends, like clearing my school stuff off of every available surface, folding all the laundry, and finally cleaning my car. At least I have time to take care of this stuff now.
And that's where I am.
