This... is my day in review
Jan. 17th, 2006 18:04My English teacher seems okay. Dunno how many people other than
foogod will understand, but imagine Suz, on a good day. Only a little less hyper. I think this may work out. Tish, of course, is the same as ever.
My English teacher noted that many of the people in the class mentioned cooking and/or eating as a favorite pastime. I muttered, "We're students." She couldn't refute that.
On my way to school, I thought to myself, well, if the classes suck, at least I can look forward to getting back into the car and turning the stereo on. Mmmmmmm. I'll have to post a review of this CD later.
New jeans, new fun t-shirt, new hooded sweatshirt, new music, new teacher. I'm good.
Funny how a month off could let me find happiness in talking about OChem. It's not the subject I dislike -- I love chemistry in general. It must be the stress.
Scratchy throat and cough. Made for bad sleep. Booo.
I went straight to the library after classes and spent a half-hour reading my chapter of homework. Not a bad habit to get into -- the library is right there, and I had the time. I might think about going to school early on Mondays and Wednesdays too, just so that I get there when I would for Tuesday and Thursday, and spend the extra time studying. I wonder whether I have that sort of discipline.
I hacked the front thicket back six feet in three minutes with a pair of lopping shears; the branches were drooping forward. It made for a hell of a lot of waste wood... three minutes of cutting, thirty minutes of cleanup. Sigh. We'll have to rent a wood chipper by the end -- or have a hell of a bonfire.
