torquillI bought a 3.5-pound axe today. Now I have something to grab when the zombies attack. That and the five-pound sledge... The pick-mattock seems a little heavy and unwieldy, but I could handle it if I had to give the axe and sledge to other people. (Other than one fleeting look, I did not consider getting the 8-pound maul -- too hard to swing.)
My mom says that when I'm done cutting up trees and roots with the axe, it can go in with the emergency supplies. Sounds like a plan.
