Nothing in particular

It occurred to me that coasting on my bike, with one foot only a couple of inches off the ground, is probably the closest I'll get to the "running" dreams I have... where I'll be running, then take a verrrrry long stride down a slope and just "glide" the rest of the way a few inches above the ground. It's a little odd, since I used to have those dreams years and years before I learned to ride a bike, but still.

Of course, that makes the running itself the most unlikely thing in the dream (I can't run, and have never been able to even when very young). Even if I do find some medical treatment that helps, I'm not sure it would give me enough wind to run more than a half a block without fighting for breath.

I'll stick with enjoying the bike. :)

I stayed home tonight, because I'm still recovering from the weekend -- and while I feel fine at the moment, "recovering" is still the operative word. No sense in pushing things, midweek, when I have a real chance of getting my feet back under me. (Still, I miss [livejournal.com profile] knaveofhearts, and the mixup at lunch today makes me feel the lack of Daawat that much more keenly.)

I'll take it easy, rest my legs tomorrow, and take a tire pressure gauge Thursday. Hopefully that will make it less exhausting to pedal across campus. Then Friday I need to see whether my old OChem teacher can help me brush up on the stuff that my biochem teacher managed to butcher.
